Free tool · AI visibility checker

See if ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity
mention your brand.

Type your domain and three prompts your buyers might ask. We run them against the three big LLMs and show you who got named, who got cited, and who didn't make the answer. Built for founders and marketers who suspect AI search is sending traffic somewhere, just not to them.

Methodology

How the share of voice math works

1

Build the prompt set

We use a 50-prompt suite split across category, comparison, use-case, validation, and pricing intents. The free check runs 3 prompts you pick. The full report runs the locked 50.

2

Run against three LLMs

Same prompts get sent to ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity in parallel. We pull the answer text and parse for named brands and cited sources.

3

Count and weight

First-named brand counts heavier than last-named. Sourced citations (where the LLM links a URL) get a separate score from textual mentions. Output is share of voice as a percentage of total brand mentions across the prompt set.

4

Compare to category

Your SOV is compared to the top 3 mentioned competitors in the same prompt set. You see the gap to the most-mentioned brand and the median brand in your space.

When the free tool stops being enough

Three prompts give you a snapshot. If you need weekly tracking, source-level citation breakdowns, region splits, or team access, you've outgrown the free tool. Paid scanners like Profound or AthenaHQ start around $499/mo for that. Ranqer's managed ChatGPT Ads goes further: we don't just track, we move the number by buying placement.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

It's a directional read, not a full audit. Three prompts tell you whether your brand is in the model's answer space for those specific queries. A real share-of-voice baseline needs 30-50 prompts run on a schedule, which is what paid scanners and our team service handle.

Stop measuring. Start moving the number.

Ranqer runs paid ChatGPT Ads that put your brand in the answer. From $500/mo plus a share of ad spend. No long contracts.
